Goalkeeper James Anderson has left The First Team squad for pastures new. He has signed dual forms with Morpeth Town in the Northern Premier League and Whickham in the Northern League First Division.
Anderson enjoyed a fine spell at United and was highly thought of by all the Coaching staff. They and the Club wish him well for the future and hope that his decision brings him the progress he wants.
With Anderson moving on it gives Arthur Leblond a chance to cement his place as the first-choice stopper in the United goal and he looked very confident in a good display on Saturday in the 2 - 1 Monkwearmouth Charity Cup tie win over Silksworth CW.
