Back To League Action For United's Youngsters

by Jeff King

After two terrific cup results it's back to league action for Chester-le-Street United this afternoon. They travel to bottom of the table Coxhoe Athletic looking for three points to keep their Championship challenge on track.

Didier Agathe makes two changes to the starting XI from last week's 4 - 2 Alan Hood Charity Cup win over Annfield Plain. Jay Gibson comes in up front alongside top scorer Cameron Brewis and Elliott Day returns from injury to replace Josh Ward in the back three.

This enables the influential Micky Spellman to move to the left flank with Alex Nicholson dropping down to the bench. Athletic are without a win in 13 games and have only picked up two points scoring ten goals and conceding 49.

Chester though will not be taking their opponents lightly and will be looking for a convincing performance and win to keep their recent good run going. Kick-off at Beechfield Park is at 14:30pm.
