It's OFFICIAL!
We all know that Chester-le-Street United have been promoted to The Northern League Division 2 for the 2022/23 season. That promotion was ratified at last weekend's Northern League AGM.
Then the reality really bit in with the release of the league fixtures this weekend and what a start for United it is. When the promotion to NL2 was confirmed one of the much anticipated pair of fixtures was the home and away clashes with Chester-le-Street Town
Two massive derby games between the well-established and historic Town side and the new kids on the block in United were and are games many within the NL and beyond are looking forward to seeing as the two Chester clubs launch a rivalry.
And BANG! The first game of the season on Saturday 30th July at 3:00pm sees Town host United in a block-busting start to the new NL2 season. An early opportunity for both sides to earn bragging rights in the town. It's going to be some game.
Following this United have two home games. Their first in the NL2 will be on Tuesday 2nd September at The Riverside v Ryton & Crawcrook Albion with a 7:30pm kick-off, followed by the visit of Washington to United's home on Saturday 6th August at 3:00pm.
All scheduled league fixtures for 2022/23, which are subject to change, are now on the website via the Men's Team Link and The Club are also in the process of organising ticket allocations via the site as well as offering Season Tickets which will offer up a saving opportunity for regular supporters.
Payments and entries will also be available on the day of home matches priced, currently, at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under 16s.
