As part of our mission to drive inclusivity and too share football with everyone we were delighted today to mark the start of our Inclusion Football Festival.
As part of our United Ability programme we hosted a hugely successful event at the Riverside, Chester le Street.
Led by Gary Brown, the festival saw teams from Gateshead Rutherford and South Tyneside in Under 12 and Under 16 catagories.
The winners of todays prestigious festival was all who had the pleasure of attending.
The festival was played on the 3G down at the riverside with input from Durham County FA.
John Gamble first team manager attended the event along with many other coaches and committee members.
The club are seeking to develop more festivals and are continuing to work to ensure a pathway for all.
We continue to pro actively engage with Andrea Fyall from Durham FA and hope to establish a Powerchair Football team in the coming months as we search for a venue.
The club was awarded 3 Star status from the FA the highest accolade for an FA accredited community club.
It is clear to see with events like this why that is the case. We hope all the teams enjoyed today. Some great bonds and friendships have been forged with football being the inclusive factor.
