The United First Team return 'home' to The Ford Quarry Hub on Saturday to face an in-form Thornaby outfit that have already registered a win at the venue this season. A 2 - 0 win over Sunderland West End.
In midweek they picked up another excellent away win at Prudhoe by the only goal of the game. That means they come in to the game on the back of three games unbeaten as after losing the opening game of the season at home to Chester-le-Street Town 2 - 0 they then drew 0 - 0 against Redcar Town.
They are a very well-organised tough side that will test United and given the respective records of both sides a tight game is expected with both defences looking hard to break down so far this season.
Chester go into the game after two superb away wins at Sunderland RCA and Yarm & Eaglescliffe and will be looking to pick up their first points of the season at this season's home venue.
Despite winning the last two games United will have to make at least one change to their starting XI as newcomer Harley Lawton will miss the game through suspension having been sent-off after receiving two yellow cards against RCA.
Kick-Off at The Ford Hub is at 3:00pm.
