If everyone survives Storm Eowyn then United will be on their travels to Teesdale Park, Thornaby for one of the matches of the day in Ebac Division 2 as 5th take on 6th in what looks like a very promising match-up indeed.
Early in the season with United struggling particularly at home, Thornaby came to The Ford Hub and took all three points with a 1 - 0 win courtesy of a goal from James Rowe. So United go to Thornaby looking for revenge.
It won't be an easy game for either side who both on their day are capable of beating anyone in the League. Thornaby are one place and three points behind United in 6th place but have played two games fewer.
They have 15 wins, 8 draws and only 6 defeats from 29 games giving them 53 points. Their games are quite often tight affairs as witnessed by 41 goals scored and only 30 conceded.
They lie 9th in the current form table with 10 points from their last 6 league games which is made up of 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. They did have a very impressive result in midweek as well in the Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup.
Drawn away to First Division Crook Town they came away with a 2 - 1 win thanks to goals from top scorer Ryan Wright and Charlie Hindson. Wright, an ex-Park View Academy and Chester Youth Cup forward has 13 league goals and 14 overall.
United come into the game top of the form table with an impressive 16 points from their last 6 league games made up of 5 wins and a draw. Last week they beat Sunderland RCA 4 - 1 which included two more goals for Stephen Siyanbola.
The big United Centre Forward now has 19 goals in all competitions this season including 15 in the League in what has been an impressive rookie campaign for the pre-season signing.
All roads then lead to Teesdale Park for the 15:00pm kick-off with the anticipation of a mouth-watering clash indeed.
