We can today confirm that our Men's First Team will play home games at the Ford Quarry Hub Sunderland for the 24/25 season.
As a club we will retain our position at the Riverside and will retain use of the pitch next season for some of our teams. We are bidding for funding to replace the drainage on the pitch of which there is a blockage under the track.
As a club we have prioritised playing on 3G at the fantastic Ford Quarry Hub at Sunderland this season.
A special thanks to Colin Stores and Sunderland West End for their support in this matter.
We look forward to working with Durham County Council in the hope that we can hopefully secure a new solution which would involve either new drainage on the grass centre pitch (funded by ourselves and grant money) or an Artificial playing surface at our home ground in Chester le Street.
The weather and huge postponements seen last season demonstrate the need for more artificial pitches.
Finally we would like to thank the Northern League for their assistance in this move.
