Saturday 24th September sees Chester-Le-Street United make the trip to take on Shotton Colliery F.C. in the Wearside League with kick-off at 14:30pm.
Shotton are enjoying a decent start to life in Division 1 this season after winning promotion by finishing second in Division 2 last campaign.
So far they've Won 7 Drew 2 Lost 3 in the league with a 30 For and 13 Against goals record all adding up to 24 points accumulated and they look like a very solid side that will test United all the way.
Their main dangerman looks like Nathan Grainger as the lively forward has 10 goals in 12 games. Jamie Bennett has also contributed 6 goals and Liam Appleby 4 for the Durham outfit.
United are hopeful of having George Riley and Elliott Day back into contention for selection although there are big doubts about Ricardo Pereira and joint-top scorer Micky Spellman.
