United Make Triple Player Signing To Bolster Squad

by Jeff King

It's been no secret that Chester-le-Street United have been looking at potential signings to strength their first team squad in a bid to halt the current poor League form they are encountering.

The Club are therefore delighted to announce not one, not two but three additions to the first team squad who have all been registered in time to make their debuts tomorrow as part of the match day squad.

Coming in from EFL Championship side Middlesbrough AFC is 16-year-old striker Finley (Fin) O'Gorman. Billingham born Fin has been part of the Middlesbrough Academy set-up since he joined at under-12 level.

Highly rated by the Middlesbrough coaching staff he comes to United on a Works Experience Loan to gain experience of playing at a senior level and help increase his potential moving forward.

Also 16-year-old is combative midfielder Ashton Houlahan who joins Chester from Ebac Northern League Division One Shildon AFC where he made first team appearances. He's recently been called up to the English FA Schools squad through the Durham FA.

Ashton is actually a Park View Academy student so is familiar with several of United's first team squad and has played alongside some in this season's Academy leagues. He's joined United's first team squad to gain more experience and playing time.

Chester-le-Street United want to put on record their thanks and appreciation of both Middlesbrough and Shildon AFC in making both of these signings possible and the smooth transition in completing all paperwork in a timely fashion.

The third signing to the first team squad has been promoted from the Chester-le-Street PV squad that plays in Division 1 of the Wearside League. 17-year-old forward Jack Wilson has already bagged goals at that level and impressed since his introduction to that squad after playing well midweek for Park View Academy.

Everyone at Chester-le-Street United are delighted at bringing such exciting prospects to the Club. Hopefully increasing their playing strength whilst sticking to the principles and commitment to the United/Park View Project.
